I get that shit from Yahoo every time I try to log into Fantasy. I guess they're trying to get in on the steal-money-from-Shamgod game pretty hard. Incredibly annoying. Not as annoying as buying gas with a credit card and clicking through all of the options, but still pretty damn annoying.

I agree with all of you and also with Drew:

Today's Jamboroo wrote:I was watching all the games on Sunday and, like you, I was wondering, “Jesus, how much money can FanDuel and DraftKings possibly have? Doesn’t it cost roughly $50 billion to advertise every second of every NFL game?” Well it turns out that Disney sunk $250 million into DraftKings, and that the company is valued at over $900 million. That’s fucking insane. That’s like valuing iwon.com at the same price. And FanDuel is partially owned by the Koch Brothers. So it’s possible that your loser daily fantasy service is actually a loss-leading sleeper vehicle for smoking hot, Koch-approved political propaganda. “You have picked up Antonio Brown (WR). But aren’t you concerned about a MEXICAN crossing the border and shooting him dead?”

Apparently the blowback from it has resulted in death threats to Matthew Berry.

Good. I am sick of hearing about this stuff.

I generally go cheap on QB with a decent match up (This weekend I went with guys like Carson Palmer, Jaboo, Andy Dalton) and try to pair them with at least one WR and TE from their team. This is a good way to contrarian as a lot of the entries are picking a top QB. Pair it with a couple high dollar sure things (went with A Brown and Forte). Almost always go WR as Flex as it's PPR and bigger chance of a random WR having a monster day. Try to find the cheapest defense with a good matchup. Also, no need to force yourself to spend the whole salary cap.

I'm at an internal FTTCo company meeting this week, and one of the local attendees left dinner last night to go watch the game with his friend who was in the running of the millionaire maker. He wound up getting 2nd place and $500k but would've won first if the Lions scored a touchdown at the end of the game instead of fumbling. It sounds like the guy was swinging back and forth between "yay I got $500k" to "I got fucked out of $900k".

Daily fantasy halted in Nevada

I'd imagine the good citizens of Nevada are shouting to the heavens they won't have to endure thousands of ads a day.

Most of their ad buys are national not local. They won't escape.
