The Boston Red Sox

Bloody sock gate..

Gary Thorne claims Mirabelli told him the blood on the sock during the 04 ALCS was painted on. Mirabelli says he is *bleeping* lying. Frankly, I'm surprised this came from Thorne, a Maine guy who presumably grew up a Sox fan...

IT'S A CONSPIRACY!!! The media obviously is as tired of the red sox as the rest of us finally. :)

Seriously, i think mirabelli probably said it, and said it for attention or as a joke. I don't think Thorne would lie about that.

If they do a dna test on a fucking sock from a fucking baseball game, then. . .i don't know. Those are some wacked out priorities.

Well who's "they"? What if some random concerned doctor baseball fans wanted to test it, and got permission? Then this story could die already.

My point is "who cares" and also "why should anyone care"

I dunno, that's a pretty big accusation to a player in one of the biggest moments in a franchise's history.

I doubt it was fake, but if anyone would pull a stunt like that, it's Schilling.

Fake or not, the fact remains the whole bloody sock thing is one of the dumbest things in the history of sports.

I honestly think it was a publicity stunt.

I agree with Tiff, do the DNA test to prove it, let's see the scar. then I might believe Schilling's forreal.

Put some pressure on it from the action of pitching, and yeah, I think the stiches can tear.
