Does this make us stalkers?

Postby Billy Joel's Convertable » 16 Nov 2004, 23:01

Is this weird? Is this something that we can talk about in public about being involved in? As for me, I am slightly embarrassed posting here. I would like to consider myself a logical person, but I see no upside here... In any event, we'll see where this leads...

I know that I should probably be nice since you are a new member....

So I'll just say this, If you don't want it to seem weird, I suggest not talking about the site in terms more befitting of an illicit sexual encounter (we'll see where this leads....???)

Maybe you could just view the site as you would any other sports related forum, only better, since it is approached from the angle of one of your favorite sports writers.

If you still feel weird after that, then you're probably gay for Bill.

Also, nice use of the word upside and welcome to the fun.

Think of it as a living, breathing 24 hour mailbag. [*]

Plus talksportsandotherstuffwithpeoplewhothinklikeyoudo.com was too wordy.

[*] The moment I posted this was the exact moment the wheels were put in motion to sue my ass.

Let's use the term "mailsack" instead. It's just as informative, plus everytime I read it, it makes me laugh.

We could call it the "MaleBag" instead.

Might Rickey point out to everyone that in the last 24 hours, we've been contemplating Barry Bonds' potential man-boobs and starting something called a "Male-Bag".

I'm with Rickey on this one. Lets stay away from the "malebag." How about we go with "mail satchel" or "mail knapsack." Both of which are outdated terms, but are not filled with any latent homosexuality.

Not that Rickey thinks there's anything wrong with that.

As moderator, I should probably find out who is coming up with all of these homoerotic ideas... (which will be strangely similar to O.J. searching for the real killer).

As moderator, you should stop mentioning the fact you are moderator all the time!

I want to be a moderator so that when people ask me what I do all day, I don't have to lie and say that I am gainfully employed. I can just say that I am a moderator and they will say "oh. that's cool" and leave it at that.

Nah, we're not stalkers. To be convicted of stalking there has to be a threat of violence, in most states at least.

Take the fact that I know that for whatever it's worth

Q. How do they practice safe sex at Oregon State?

I don't think you guys are stalkers, especially since my friends and I created another website around the same idea - we loves Simmons' stuff.

I think his writing is a great combination of sports, pop culture, and humor. He just sounds like one of my friends, and that is rare when reading most types of columns - sports or otherwise.

I mean, people will camp out for tickets to a Star Wars movie (yup, I'm one of them) or write on fan message boards for musical performers and such. I don't see why this is any different.
The http://www.sportsguynation.com site is down for awhile. It may not resurface; however, enjoy Crissy for your troubles.
