I read that Tirico is taking Dan Patricks shift. Id like to know who Tirico has pictures of. Mickey? I mean, he is so boring and gets all the best gigs.
PS: I will never like July 27th. It will always be the day Reggie died. I just hate this day. True Celtic fans know what I mean.

Tirico got the first part of the afternoon and SAS gets an hour afterward.

Talked to a buddy of mine at an ESPN affiliate yesterday, says he was told by the network's Affiliate Relations guy that Smith's hour on the ESPN network will just be the last hour of his New York radio show. He also said that he was told that Tirico's show would be co-hosted by Van Pelt and Michelle Tafoya, but it wasn't on the press release so he's not sure if that's something that's going to be coming down the line a little bit later.

Damn straight. Ask me what else I know.

Funny stuff. Anyone want to ask him what else he knows?

Nick Saban's a smart guy, if he waited another year i think he would've gotten fired. the dolphins are god-awful right now.

Yes, it was dumb of Saban to think that a guy coming off a hellacious shoulder injury (one called by Dr. James Andrews, the absolute MAN among orthopedic surgeons, the worst he had ever seen). Saban had (and still has)his flaws, a lot of them human, a few as a coach, but I honestly think blaming him for not taking Brees wasn't that bad. Plus, the Dolphins did not and do not have the offensive weapons around him that Brees did.

He also drafted Travis Daniels and Jason Allen, who both suck ass right now. I don't know what Daniels' problem is, he should be awesome but he's not.

Offensively they had the #2 pick in the draft and got Ronnie Brown who's pretty damn good, Chambers and Chief Slapahoe were Pro Bowlers, the o-line was decent enough, and they even got Ricky back for a while. They had enough weapons to be at least decent.

Also, a lot of the people around him said he took too long to make personnel decisions, was incredibly narcissitic, etc. I'm not mad he left really, just mad that he left us in such an incredible friggin' mess. For him to say "at least they have all their draft picks, so they'll be okay" after leaving to go to 'Bama was one of many douche moves.

Saban's definitely a dick, and his handling of the Dolphins departure was pretty awful, but I still think not taking Brees wasn't necessarily a terrible decision at the time.

(BTW, I would stay as far away from the state of Alabama as possible...the Saban love up here is ridiculous. Heck, even his decision to kick a field goal late to go down 4 against Arkansas has been lauded by many as a "brilliant" move, because he "knew McFadden was hurt.")

Yeah well, WE NEED A FUCKING QB!!!!111! ANYTIME THIS DECADE WOULD BE NICE!!!!11!!

And yeah I know about the Alabama thing...that win last week hurt my soul. On the bright side, my dream of 'Bama possibly making the Orange Bowl is still alive. :sniff:
