The Cowboys were REALLY desperate for pass rushers though, and they got quite a bit of shit for it and he's currently unsigned, so he's still part of the "if your talent outweighs the headache, you'll be fine" equation.

That, and his contract was a total flyer. He got 1mm for every game he played, IIRC, with no obligation to the team if he got cut or missed a game.

RGIII keeps getting work, and they have similar styles/records/injury histories.

Please don't let Bacon see this post. a similarly over-hyped but ultimately shitty black QB with slightly less drama getting chances really doesn't help the "Kaep ain't catch a break cuz he black" narrative.

I am no Mike Francesca fan but their article on Mike & the Mad Dog's 9/11 broadcasts is so stupid. Here is the gist:

"We heard some people say they said bad things about Jews and others during this broadcast"
"they weren't keeping copies of the broadcasts, but a few still exist and we found one in a library"
"we listened to it, remember, people said they said baaaaaaaad things"
"everything on the tape we heard was standard issue Mike & the Mad Dog garbage."

The end. I'll let you guess whether they had a giant baity headline with an image of two smoldering microphones.

Deadspin taking shots at our beloved Sports Guy.

ESPN’s Kevin Arnovitz, who has covered the team up close for years, gives typically thoughtful and informed consideration to the organization’s quandary, in the best* of the handful of kinda-sorta eulogies the Clippers received over the past week.

*The worst of these is Bill Simmons’s, of course, coming to us from the same bizarre alternate dimension as all his other posts, a nightmare place where the meaning and purpose of Chris Paul’s career is to convince Bill Simmons that he meets Bill Simmons’s criteria for inclusion in Bill Simmons’s Candace Cameron Memorial Pantheon of Great Point Guards™ or whatever the fuck.

This just in: people who cover basketball for a living and aren't morons have better, more insightful TAEKS on the NBA than Bill. Solid insult phrasing, doe.

Interesting article, but you posted it in the wrong thread

It does a very good job of explaining the nuts and bolts of the world of professional darts but it only addresses the game of 501. Granted, the pros ONLY play that game, but in most leagues around here, we play other 01 games and Cricket, often as teams of two on two.

If you ever want to watch darts on TV, reading this article first would definitely help you to figure out what the hell is going on.

I had no idea the pros only played 501. I assumed it was more like your league, where there are a couple three different games to determine an overall winner.
