I think they do 32 or 34 now. They do A LOT of double issues.

Entertainment Weekly the same way with the double issues; I imagine they'll be biweekly before the end of the year too.. Also, I have 5 basically unread issues sitting here, with no interest in reading them. Can't imagine I'll re-up at the end of the year.

SI was at 38 issues this year. The 27 issues includes the swimsuit issue. So it is basically going to be a bi-weekly magazine.

I heard about this a couple months ago and canceled after 19 years. Subscribed to The Athletic instead (which is far cheaper). Pretty good site, especially if they have a bureau in your sports city of choice.
